Sanja Pahoki
WIP (my mother’s gaze) 2020
‘Here are some images that I took of my mum at the start of the year for a larger work that I was hoping to do for my solo exhibition at Sarah Scout Presents. The show has been postponed and I haven’t done anything with them. I placed them together to resemble a contact sheet to reference this idea of them being in this state that is yet to be realised. They were taken with an old stereoscopic camera. I had planned to only use her eyes – to crop in on the eyes.’
